I think the application of wisdom that is defined in nursing informatics is very similar to nursing judgement.  McGonigle defines wisdom as “An appropriate use of knowledge to manage and solve human problems.” (McGonigle, n.d., p. 111) Nursing judgment is usually based off of experiences of the nurse, as well as nursing knowledge.  Being aware that things need to be looked at as a whole and each patient is different is a way in which nursing judgement and wisdom are alike.  You can have two different patients with low heart rate, but there are many factors that you need to take into consideration to determine whether or not this is something that needs to be acted on.
