My leadership style is that of a team leader, which does fit me in looking back to when I was in charge of /had preceptor roles and supervising units. Some years ago, I was hired as a supervisor of a floor at a long-term care facility that had not had any consistent supervisor for several years, and the CNAs were used to running the floor. They did not want me there and made it known. After a mini-breakdown, I realized I was in charge, and I would be able to turn the floor around. I did not go in like a bull in a China shop, as I felt I should observe and see what they were about first.
